After a few months break, I am back to the blogging world. How is it that I do not have a whole lot to blog about yet we have been incredibly busy?
Both the girls are doing very well in school. This last report card they both received straight A's -- a big accomplishment for Taylor as she worked very hard to bring her B's up to A's. Rachel is now the only one in her class that has perfect attendance! She is very proud of that! Rachel's teacher is due to have her first baby at the end of May and we are very sad about that. It has been a fabulous year.
During Spring Break the girls were able to do lots of fun things. One place we visited was the Creation Museum. The best part was the life-sized replica of Noah's ark. It was only 1/10th of the actual ark and it was huge! That was even very cool for Chris and me. The girls also liked the dinosaurs and the real turtles (which is what they are standing in front of in the picture below.)
For Easter, we got together at my mom's house for lunch and a lazy afternoon. Thanks to my Aunt Annie who visited us in February, all the girls had new Easter outfits. Taylor & Emily even matched! To give you a good idea of the difference between Taylor & Rachel, this is how the shopping day went: went to Justice (a girl's clothing store) and Taylor tried on every single outfit in the store...only to choose one of the first ones she tried on. Rachel walked into Children's Place, picked up the black & white dress and said that was it. She never wavered even after I tried to persuade her to try on different outfits.
In May, Rachel had her annual ballet recital and did wonderful. Her ballet instructor told us afterward that Rachel knew all her parts without looking off-stage at the helpers.
Taylor is growing up too quickly for me. She has grown a few inches over the winter as is evident by the high-water jeans that she was wearing in April -- trying to make it to warmer weather. Now the issue we have is that the growth means long legs and the shorts all being just a little too short for her daddy! The name "drama-queen" was definitely invented for Taylor. She is the sweetest natured child, but when there is a chance for drama, she is all over it. She can cry on will, especially if there is a mirror close by. I can see a lot of Chris in her :)
Well, that is it for now. I will end this blog with a picture of me and my sister and our girls.

Well, welcome back to the blogging world!! Has that evil Facebook been hogging your time?! I kept checking back, thinking surely you would post pics of the girls from Easter...you kept me hanging too long, girlie!
Didn't know Rachel was a dancer...she looks quite professional in her costume! Be glad your recital has come and gone, which means dance is over for you...we spent all day today (Mother's Day) in the Columbus Convention Center at a competition! Ugghhh!! At least I was with my firstborn...
Happy Mother's Day, dear friend!!
Teresa =)
