Christmas (Part 2)

Christmas morning is always fun around here. Taylor and I usually wake up first. We enjoy some quiet time reading a book, playing with one of her new toys from the night before, or just watching cartoons. I love this time because the house is quiet and the anticipation of what is about to come is so thick you can taste it. Once Chris & Rachel roll out of bed, then the present opening begins!

This year Taylor & Rachel each had one present that they consistently asked for -- no matter who asked what they wanted for Christmas. Taylor wanted $55 so she could go purchase her Ninento DS (she had saved up $100 and since she wanted the holiday edition she needed the remaining money fast!). Rachel asked for a princess dress, wand, crown & shoes.

See the excitement in their faces as they realize they received what they had asked for:

Here are some more pictures from the day:

We had the opportunity to purchase an i-pod shuffle at an amazing price for Rachel (Taylor already bought her own!), but knew that the ear buds were going to be too big. So I bought these adorable headphones -- a pair for Rachel and a pair for Taylor.

Probably the smartest purchase I made was a new Leapster game for Rachel since I knew Taylor would be playing her DS all day! I was right! (Oh, how did Taylor get her DS? Well, I had already bought it so she didn't have to just play with the $55 all day long! The next day, she and her daddy went to the bank and deposited her $155 to pay for the DS.)

And for those of you wondering, yes, I did get my creative memories program that I wanted :) I will be posting some of my pages as soon as I figure it out! I also got a text from Chris on Christmas morning (when I thought he was asleep) that said "Merry Christmas! You now have unlimited texting!"

I hope you all got what you wished for this Christmas season!
