A Few Funny Things

I have to share a few things my children have said over the last two days that are just plain funny & know some of you will appreciate them!

Taylor: As noted in a previous blog, she was enthralled by the word "brunch" and decided it was a very cool word to say ... and she did say it as often as possible in the week leading up to the brunch. Fast forward to last night when I was struggling about what to cook for dinner. (Anyone else HATE cooking on Sunday night?) Taylor decided we needed to have "brinner". It took me a second to realize what she was saying. She wanted me to make waffles; therefore we were having breakfast for dinner....or "brinner". I thought it was hilarious!

Rachel: Today in Kindergarten they took a poll to see who stayed up late enough to see the ball drop on New Years Eve. (This is probably the teacher's sneaky way to see which parents were bad enough to let their six-year-old stay up until midnight!) Rachel did not see the ball drop but, believe me, it wasn't because she wasn't awake! So after school, Rachel asked what the ball was. I explained that it is this gigantic glass-looking ball that slowly drops as it gets closer to the New Year. She asked what it did once it dropped. I told her nothing -- that was it. Then she looked at me and asked "well, doesn't the ball break when it drops?"

Have a great night!
