Oh how the year went by!

Well, we are officially done with 2nd grade! This has been a wonderful year for us. Taylor's teacher was a Christian who absolutely loved the kids. She was one of those teacher's that made learning fun and exciting. Taylor woke up each morning with a smile on her face anxious to get to school (ok, there were a few grumpy mornings too)! Yesterday she came home with her report card (straight A's!) and her 3rd grade teacher assignment. Now this is a big deal because everyone on the block is comparing who got what teacher. Taylor had told me in the morning her top three choices. However, she did not get them . . . she got a brand-new teacher instead. The fun part is that our neighbor boy, who is a good friend of hers, is actually in her class next year. Taylor's teacher must have told her that it was very cool to be chosen for this brand-new teacher because Taylor is just thrilled about it!

So now summer vacation begins. Oh, what to do :) I am sure we will find plenty to keep us busy!
