For a city that practically shuts down over 2 inches of snow, to experience blizzard-type conditions is unreal! The high winds created wonderful snow drifts that were as tall as Rachel. We went outside and played in it for a long time. The girls were amazed at all the snow. Typically we get a ton of ice and sleet with a layering of snow. So to get almost 14 inches of snow in a 24-hour period was fabulous!
While we were enjoying the snowy day here at home, my sister-in-law was going through the miraculous process of giving birth. We received the much anticipated call this afternoon from Joel. Joel said the birth was easy . . . for him :) However, after hearing the stats for the baby I question if it was that easy for Carrie! Our newest addition to the family weighed in at 10 pounds 12 ounces and was 22 inches long! They named him Reuben Brougher and I hear he is just beautiful! We certainly can't wait to meet him!

How fun is all that snow?! Wish we could have enjoyed it with you! We are having a major thaw, so the mounds are diminishing and so are our hopes for any more snow days;0)
